It’s now official – Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders will reprise their roles of Nick Fury and Maria Hill in the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home for Marvel Studios.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige previously confirmed the 2019 sequel will take Peter Parker (Tom Holland) out of New York for a European adventure in London and will be set in the aftermath of both “Avengers: Infinity War” and Avengers 4.
Considering both Fury and Hill were last seen in the ‘Infinity War’ post-credits scene vanishing from existence, it’s not clear how they’ll return – be it in a flashback or a solution in the fourth ‘Avengers’ allowing their return.
Jon Watts helms the film from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers with the movie to open July 5th 2019.
