A few years back, filmmaker Peter Berg revealed he was working on a documentary about musician-actress Rihanna. The pair worked together on Berg’s Battleship movie which inspired the filmmaker to assemble this new film which he says was akin to the Bob Dylan documentary Don’t Look Back.
Three years on since first mentioning it, it looks as though Berg is finally about to unveil the film as in a new interview on radio station Hot 97, he was asked about the film’s status and replied:
“I think [Rihanna’s] an extraordinary young woman and it really is kind of a pretty comprehensive profile of what goes in to making her this talent that she is. The work ethic, the talent, luck, the hustle, the vision. She’s a really, really interesting woman and the movie will be out in about a month and half, two months we’ll be able to start showing it.”
Rihanna has recently been seen on the big screen again with the likes of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets and Ocean’s 8.
