Acura has today announced details for its 2019 ILX sport sedan. Included in the upgrades for the latest ILX model are a dual-screen infotainment system with CarPlay and Android Auto support.
Detailed in a press release, Acura shared more about the improvements it is bringing to the 2019 ILX. In addition to including its “AcuraWatch active safety and driver-assistive technology” as a standard feature, the 2019 ILX also sports a new optional dual-screen infotainment system that offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.
Acura says the new “On Demand Multi-Use Display (ODMD 2.0) interface” comes with software improvements that offer about 30% faster response times.
New software improves system response time, offering more intuitive menus and command structures for a seamless and speedy user experience – approximately 30 percent faster.
The dual-screen option has an interesting stacked design, with the lower one looking to be the 7-inch capacitive touchscreen, with the top screen being used for CarPlay or Android Auto.
The 2019 ILX will be available from dealers starting in October.
