After all the anticipation, we’ve finally got our first look at Arthur Fleck aka Joker, the arch nemesis of Batman. Todd Phillips, the director of Joker took to his official Instagram account and revealed the first look of Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck, a failed stand up comedian who turns into the chaotic Joker and wreaks havoc on Gotham city.
The film is set in the 80s Gotham city and is based on the much-loved comic book The Killing Joke. It’ll follow the life and times of Arthur and how he became Joker. This is the first ever stand-alone Joker film that, reportedly, won’t feature Batman. Apart from the first look, multiple set photos, as well as a video, has been leaked which shows Arthur in action. Though we’ll have to wait and watch Joaquin as Joker, i.e in that makeup.
