It is now the second half of September, which means Xbox Live Gold subscription folks can download two new games for free. There is one Xbox One game Livelock and the Xbox 360 gamei s Sega Vintage Collection: Monster World. Both are playable on Xbox One.
Livelock is a top-down shooter that takes place after humanity and the rest of the organic life on Earth has been wiped out. The game puts you in the shoes of a robot fighting off hordes of enemies, with the goal of bringing life back to the planet. You can play it alone or with up to two friends in co-op mode. It’s available for free between now and October 15.
Sega Vintage Collection: Monster World contains ports of the Monster World/Wonder Boy series of RPGs from the 1980s and ’90s. It comes with Wonder Boy in Monster Land, Wonder Boy in Monster World, and Monster World IV. When this collection launched in 2012, it was the first time Monster World IV had made its way to the US. It’s available for free between now and September 30.
If you haven’t grabbed it yet, Xbox Live Gold subscribers can still download Prison Architect for free through the end of the month.
