First reported by Exhibitor Relations, Sony Pictures has renamed the upcoming thriller The Girl in the Spider’s Web two months out from release.
The studio has changed the film’s title to the too long The Girl in the Spider’s Web: A New Dragon Tattoo Story. Testing Must have some of the higher-ups at sorry worried that movie goers don’t realize the film is a sequel to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Claire Foy in the iconic role of Lisbeth Salander leads the cast of the film which aims to potentially launch a new lower-budget version of the franchise
Fede Alvarez helms the new take which is slated to open in cinemas on November 9th.
