Google Has Now Made It Easier To Delete Your Search History

Google today rolled out new tools meant to give people more control over their personal data.

Starting with Google Search, people will have direct access to their activity. Before today, Google directed people to their Google Account to manage activity. Now these controls are embedded directly in Google services.

In Google Search, for example, people can review or delete their search history and then jump back to their current query. Google is also making it easier to access Google Account privacy controls from individual services.

For example, Google Search now lets people access their Ad Settings where they can control which ads they see, as well as decide what info Google saves to their account for use in other Google services.

Google has created a short video that simply and directly explains to people how to use these new tools. (Watch Below)

These improvements are reaching Google Search on the desktop and mobile web today, and will reach the Google Search apps for Android and iOS in the weeks ahead.

Beginning next year, these same controls will expand to other products, such as Google Maps.
