The trailer and poster for Oscar winner J.K. Simmons’ (Whiplash) drama feature I’m Not Here has been released.
In I’m Not Here, Steve (Simmons) is haunted by his past as every object in his home, every sound he hears reminds him of a specific event in his life. Steve connects the events of his life to discover how he ended up alone and broken. As he relives each significant memory, he understands the generational issues that have held him captive like his father before him. Can he move past the pain and forgive his trespassers, and more importantly, forgive himself?
The movie was directed by Simmons’ wife, Michelle Schumacher (3 Geezers!, The Boy), who co-wrote the feature alongside Tony Cummings (3 Geezers!). I’m Not Here also stars Sebastian Stan (Avengers: Endgame, I Tonya), Golden Globe nominee Mandy Moore (This Is Us, Ralph Breaks the Internet), Maika Monroe (Greta, It Follows), Golden Globe nominee Max Greenfield (New Girl, The Oath), and Iain Armitage (Big Little Lies, Young Sheldon). Moore plays Steve’s mother in the film.
Randle Schumacher, Eric Radzan, and Michelle Schumacher serve as producers.
I’m Not Here will arrive in theaters and On Demand on March 8, 2019, by Gravitas Ventures.
