Netflix has confirmed its commitment to expanding its PS3 services to include disc-free streaming video, according to CEO Reed Hastings. Sometime in the next few months, the company will launch a major upgrade to its PS3 user interface.
As part of its Q2 financial disclosures, Netflix highlighted the demand for its streaming videos such as movies and TV shows. Approximately 61 percent of its customers have streamed at least 15 minutes of a movie or show, up from 37 percent during the same period last year.
