Aaron Sorkin’s all-star ensemble drama film The Trial Of The Chicago 7 is reportedly being fast-tracked for an early Summer start of production reports Deadline.
Pre-production on the $30 million true story feature was put on pause in December, but buyers at the European Film Market last week were hot for it.
The story chronicles the events leading up a group of activists being charged in relation to protests that took place during the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Sorkin penned the script over a 10 years ago, with talk of being director starting late last year.
Eddie Redmayne, Sacha Baron Cohen, Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jonathan Majors and Alex Sharp star in the film which Marc Platt and Matt Jackson will produce.
