The Fast and Furious franchise has previously teased villains and Hobbs & Shaw looks to be no different.
A new report at That Hashtag Show indicates the upcoming spin-off film Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw will be doing the same.
Idris Elba stars as the film’s main villain Brixton, the site says the film also has a new background bad guy pulling the strings in in the background as an uncredited cameo. The new character may appear in a larger role e in a future sequel. That person? John Wick star Keanu Reeves.
The site suggests Reeves’ character is somehow tied to Elba’s Brixton and their source suggests he will be revealed towards the end of the movie. Again this is pure rumor and Reeves’ name is not credited anywhere on the film.
In the movie hulking lawman Hobbs (Johnson), a loyal agent of America’s Diplomatic Security Service, and lawless outcast Shaw (Statham), a former British military elite operative are up against cyber-genetically enhanced anarchist Brixton (Idris Elba) who gains control of an insidious bio-threat that could alter humanity forever. These two sworn enemies will have to partner up to bring down the only guy who might be badder than themselves.
Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw opens in cinemas on August 2nd.
