After days of tweets teasing the news, PlayStation and Hideo Kojima, of Metal Gear Solid series fame, have debuted a new long-form trailer for the new mystery passion project Death Stranding that reveals more about the action horror game’s story, gameplay and its November release date!
From Kojima Productions comes an all new, genre defining experience for the PlayStation 4. Besieged by death’s tide at every turn, Sam Bridges must brave a world utterly transformed by the Death Stranding. Carrying the stranded remnants of the future in his hands, Sam embarks on a journey to reunite the shattered world one step at a time. What is the mystery of the Death Stranding? What will Sam discover on the road ahead? A genre defining gameplay experience holds these answers and more.
The game features The Walking Dead‘s Norman Reedus, Hannibal‘s Mads Mikkelsen, Spectre‘s Léa Seydoux, The Bionic Woman‘s Lindsay Wagner, The Last of Us‘ Troy Baker, Constantine: City of Demons‘ Emily O’Brien and The Shape of Water‘s Guillermo del Toro.
The trailer below also revealed two previously not announced cast members — Margaret Qualley (The Leftovers) and Nicolas Winding Refn, the director of Drive.
Death Stranding will release on November 8.
