Amazon Prime has released the first teaser trailer for the second season of their darkly comedic superhero series The Boys.
Based on the acclaimed comic, the story is set in a world where superheroes embrace the darker side of their massive celebrity and fame, and tracks a well-trained hit squad who take down corrupt superheroes with no more than their blue-collar grit and a willingness to fight dirty.
Karl Urban, Elizabeth Shue, Jennifer Esposito, Karen Fukuhara, Laz Alonso, Jack Quaid, Tomer Kapon, Chace Crawford, Erin Moriarty, Antony Starr and Jessie T. Usher star while “Supernatural” creator Eric Kripke and “Preacher” series creators Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg executive produce.
Season 2 is expected to premiere in the middle of 2020.
