Paramount’s film adaptation of classic Sega videogame Sonic the Hedgehog is headed for a $41-47 million opening over the four-day President’s Day holiday next month.
The Street has Paramount putting in an estimated $95 million production from November 8th to February 14th to fix the film’s VFX and Sonic’s appearance following complaints that came after the first trailer.
A second trailer in November reportedly scored the highest like-to-dislike ratio on Google of any official studio trailer in the last three years – suggesting fans are very happy with the redesign.
