Paramount Pictures has hired screenwriters Joby Harold (John Wick: Chapter 2) and James Vanderbilt (Murder Mystery) to pen the next two live-action Transformers movies.
Both scribes will each only pen one of the new entries, with both projects to be developed simultaneously. A director or directors have not yet been named. It’s also not clear if the new Transformers represents a continuation of the Michael Bay films or will be a reboot.
Hasbro Studios has expressed an interest in building its own cinematic universe, and a reboot could allow other properties from G.I. Joe to Micronauts to crossover.
