STXfilms has pre-bought North American, Latin American and Chinese distribution rights to the thriller Gunpowder Milkshake.
The story follows three generations of female assassins who fight to stop a cycle of violence over the course of one night. Karen Gillan, Lena Headey, Angela Bassett, Michelle Yeoh, Carla Gugino, Paul Giamatti and Chloe Coleman co-star.
Written by Navot Papushado (“Big Bad Wolves”) and Ehud Lavski and directed by Papushado, the Studiocanal and The Picture Company financed film was picked up during the European Film Market in Berlin this week.
This marks Papushado’s first English-language film and plans are for a wide theatrical release in the U.S. along with a partnered release in Canada, Latin America and China.
