A new phone available in Japan uses onboard AI to detect nudity, and prevent users from taking or saving photos with nudity AKA Sexting.
The Tone e20 is a low price Android phone aimed at parents who want to protect their children from “being deceived or threatened to photograph their own nudity, etc.”
The phone works to detect nudity in both photo and video camera modes, and prevents the saving of images with nudity. When nudity is detected, an alert can be sent to parents with the time, date, and location of the event, as well as a pixelated thumbnail of the offending image.
When come to the specs they phone sports 6.26 inch, 19.5: 9 full screen display. There are 3 cameras, one being super wide-angle lens with 13 megapixels and a shooting range of 120 degrees.
CPU run up to 2.0GHz with 4GB of RAM. The storage capacity is 64GB, and by using the SD card as internal storage, the phone can have a total of 320GB storage.
The phone includes other parental controls and family-safety features. It is only available in Japan.
