DejaOffice has released version 1.6.2 of its contact management app for Android-powered devices. The free update includes new productivity features for the latest phones like the HTC EVO4G, Motorola DROID X, and Samsung Galaxy S. The DejaOffice update supports the newest version of Android OS -“ Android 2.2, also known by its codename Froyo. Android 2.2 ships with new devices such as the announced Motorola DROID 2.
DejaOffice version 1.6.2 includes the following updates:
- Create and edit recurring calendar events on the device
- Full integration with the native Android contacts and calendar apps with specific account selection
- Tap-and-hold context menus to access on-the-fly search, sort and display options
- Audible calendar and task alarms using the Android notification system
- Faster internal sync process
- Full support for Android 2.2 “Froyo”
DejaOffice provides business-class contacts, calendar, tasks and notes apps for Android. The app makes the phone as productive and intelligent as PC contact management software by integrating data between apps for a seamless user experience. Some features include the ability to link contacts to calendar appointments, color-coded categories, and alarms and alerts attached to calendar events and tasks. Optional software from CompanionLink allows DejaOffice to synchronize with PC software like Microsoft Outlook, IBM Lotus Notes, Novell GroupWise, Microsoft Outlook Business Contact Manager, ACT! by Sage and Palm Desktop.
