Ricoh has revealed a new camera the G700SE. Its body is resistant to water and dust. Plus there is an optional GPS sensor for geotagging photos. on the wireless side the camera has a Wi-Fi link in addition to Bluetooth 2.1 for transfer photos or get location information from the external GPS sensors.
The camera is aimed at the business market with the optional barcode reader for scanning one dimensional tags on devices. Users can protect their photos and lock out the camera with a built-in password lock. Plus the camera supports SD write-once read-multiple (WORM) cards for law enforement and others who need tamper-proof evidence.
The camera is expected to arrive in Europe during the first half of 2011, priced at the equivalent of $1,070. Ricoh hasn’t committed to a release in US so far.
