Red Giant Software has brought out a new suite of seven professional plug-ins for Adobe’s CS5 applications and Final Cut Pro called Effects Suite 10, and has also updated their Magic Bullet Photolooks to v1.5, now adding support for Apple’s Aperture and Adobe’s Lightroom as well as Photoshop CS5.
Effects Suite 10 is a bundle of plug-ins priced at about half what they would cost if purchased separately. Included is Image Lounge (updated for CS5 and 64-bit compatibility), Knoll Light Factory and Light Factory for Photoshop, Psunami and Text Anarchy (also both updated for CS5/64-bit) ToonIt and Warp. Individually these would cost over $1,800, but are priced as a suite for $899. Existing owners of ToonIt, Knoll Light Factory or customers who have at least three of the other components can upgrade to the full suite for $499.
Magic Bullet PhotoLooks can be used either as a standalone application or as a plug-in for Photoshop, Lightroom or Aperture that allows users to quickly preview and combine various filters and photo effects to achieve stylized looks while preserving detail. New in v1.5 is support for 16-bit TIFF files, new color management support and batch processing. The update is free for existing PhotoLooks v1 or v1.1 users, Magic Bullet Looks and QuickLooks users can upgrade to the Photoshop plug-in version for $99.
