NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 590 may have a firmer launch date through if this leak from EXP Review is correct. The dual-chip gaming graphics will reportedly arrive on March 22. Coincidently, March 22nd is also the release day of Crysis 2.
The GTX 590 will be arriving just two weeks after the Radeon HD 6990, which was unveiled yesterday, and could challenge it for the performance lead. Like its AMD rival, it will have two full-featured graphics processors and here will have 1,024 cores. NVIDIA’s card will only have 3GB of RAM but could use the wider memory bus to at least keep up with its rival.
NVIDIA’s board could be one of the most power-hungry cards ever and could use 375W of power at peak, demanding an extra-strong power supply.
