T-Mobile on Monday launched its new mobile broadband plans. The 200MB, 5GB and new 10GB data-only plans cost $49.99 and $84.99 respectively. Customers can still qualify for a new 20 percent discount for those who already have a T-Mobile phone plan.
The two higher-end tiers remain “overage-free” and have caps only to guarantee the maximum usable bandwidth before T-Mobile has the option of throttling. It won’t necessarily do so and has mostly reserved the power for users actively slowing down the network.
T-Mobile so far hasn’t changed its smartphone policies, which start throttling at 5GB.
