Adobe has released Shockwave version 11, which is now native for Intel-based Macintoshes. Intel CPUs have been the brains of Macs for the past three years, but until now Shockwave required running Rosetta emulation (PowerPC mode) and accepting the performance hit. As of this writing, Shockwave version 10 is still available and is the the most current version for PowerPC-based Macs.
Shockwave is used websites for multimedia games, learning applications, product demonstrations which run inside a web browser. Most of the Shockwave content is created with Adobe Director.
