The Expedia Hotels app — now out on iTunes for iPhone and iPod Touch allows travelers to reserve rooms in 130,000 hotels in more than 200 countries. This is the first app introduced by Expedia since the company acquired Mobiata in November 2010.
Booking process takes travelers from search to point of purchase in four clicks. Since the app is aware of your location via GPS, you can easily look for hotels near you location.
Each hotel listing includes a slide show tour, along with its features and star rating. Once the hotel is booked, the details can be shared via e-mail or text, and added to your calendar.
