The massively popular series of Angry Birds games have surpassed 200 million downloads, according to developer Rovio.
The franchise, which consists of the games Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio, is available on major smartphone platforms, consoles, PC and Mac.
Rovio also said that demand for Angry Birds merchandising “has been growing”, with over three million units sold globally
The developer is currently “busy creating a social game around Angry Birds, expanding to new areas of entertainment business, and preparing for more growth throughout 2011”.
Angry Birds is set to hit Windows Phone 7 devices on May 27.
