An official LG forum moderator has that the long awaited update to Android 2.3 for the T-Mobile G2X should arrive soon. In response to customer enquiries about the arrival of Gingerbread on a discussion thread, the moderator said “…I’d be really surprised if it was more than a month out.” The Tegra 2 dual-core device has not been able to really shine with its current build of Android 2.2. It is expected that the update to 2.3 will highlight the benefits of its processing power.
An early preview of the G2X running Android 2.3 in arrived in May raising expectations that it would have arrived by now.
