Sony just announced it will offer a new bundle that includes the PlayStation Move controller for the PS3 along with EA Sports’ Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters Edition and the PlayStation Eye camera. The bundle will be aggressively priced, at $100. The game on its own retails for $60. The Move uses a controller for motion-based gaming, in similar fashion as that pioneered by Nintendo’s Wii, though Sony claims its solution is more accurate.
The peripheral will allow gamers to take life-like golf swings that translate as in-game strokes. The game is the latest in the Tiger Woods series and includes a career mode, commentary by Jim Nantz and David Feherty and online play. It supports local gaming for up to four players. Experience from Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 can be carried over. A new save system lets users save and resume games at any point in the round.
Sony has had Move bundles before but has usually focused these on younger gamers rather than adults.
