Toshiba has acknowledged a bug plaguing its just launched Thrive 7-inch Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) tablet. Toshiba says that it is working on a fix for the bug, which is causing its Thrive tablets not to wake up from sleep mode.
“We’re aware of the issue and are working on a fix,” a Toshiba spokesman said in an e-mail to PC World. While the spokesman was unable to provide an estimated timeframe for when the fix might arrive, he confirmed that it would be delivered via Toshiba’s Service Station pre-loaded application.
Return rates for the device at Best Buy have been reported by one forum member to be on the “high side,” while some other forum members are also expressing that they are likely to return their devices as well.
