Wipeout 2 is scheduled to release this holiday season for home consoles and handhelds.
The original Wipeout TV show game released earlier this summer for the Xbox 360. The sequel puts players back into the wipeout zone with more mini-games, more activities and more movement-fuelled gameplay than ever before.
Matt Kunitz, Wipeout’s Creator and Executive Producer commented in the press release about the upcoming family-friendly party game, saying…
“I’m excited that the video game series is evolving just like our show,” … “Players will experience all the fun of the new winter and summer courses without being sore in the morning!”
The second game will feature obstacles and platform challenges directly from the show’s summer and winter seasons, including stuff like the Big Balls, Sucker Punch Wall, and more than 50 other gimmicks. Each system will also have specific mini-games designed to take advantage of the motion controls, including special events for the Xbox Kinect, PS Move and even a hot-seat feature for the Nintendo 3DS.
The game is rated E through E10+ and will be available for home consoles and handhelds this fall.
