HP on Monday announced a new all-in-one desktop has joined its lineup. The Compaq 8200 Elite is the first and only in meant for professionals with Sandy Bridge-era Intel Core processors. It centers on a 23-inch LED-lit display with an integrated webcam, microphone and speakers.
Preloaded software includes a one-year license to HP Virtual Rooms license for conducting presentations, team meetings, training events and classes. Intel Standard Manageability and HP BIOS features are built-in, as is Intel’s vPro tech for remote PC management. An embedded TPM 1.2 compatible security chip allows hardware-based encryption. HP’s ProtectTools such as HP DriveLock, HP Digitalpass and HP Face Recognition further enhance security.
The desktop can be outfitted with up to 8GB of RAM, a mini PCI Express (PCIe) slot, and a drive bay. It can be had with a solid-state drive along with traditional rotating hard drives.
The Compaq 8200 Elite is now available with prices starting at $1,000.
