Toshiba announced it will bring the DX735 All-in-One desktop computer to the US market. Like its smaller sibling the DX1215, the DX735 is intended for use as a media hub. The DX735 is built around a 23-inch backlit LED touchscreen capable of displaying full 1080p HD. A glossy black bezel frames the display. Onkyo speakers tuned by MaxxAudio 3 provide premium sound.
The DX735 also includes an upconverting DVD SuperMulti Drive, HDMI-in for gaming console or other HD input, two USB 3.0 ports and four USB 2.0 ports. One USB 3.0 port has a “Sleep & Charge” function that can charge a device even when the PC is turned off. Similarly, the “Sleep & Music” function lets the speakers operate.
A TV tuner configuration will be available.
A futuristic aluminum pedestal stand doubles as storage for its Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Inside, the DK730 has a second generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, 4G RAM, and 1TB, 7200rpm HDD. It ships with Windows 7 Home Premium.
The Toshiba DX735 will be available exclusively at Best Buy stores nationwide and at BestBuy.com on October 2. Retail price starts at $957 for the base model.
