Samsung Mobile just introduced the HM7000 Bluetooth headset. It ships with its own portable charging cradle that unfolds into a desktop dock. The dock can fully recharge the headset itself up to three times thanks to its own built-in battery.
The case has a power switch to conserve power, and both it and the headset have an LED battery status indicator. The headset uses Bluetooth 3.0 and sports a gel earpiece for comfort.
Samsung’s own noise cancellation technology, isolāt, uses dual mics and echo cancellation to improve voice. It supports voice commands and voice prompts, with the FreeSync Android app adding text-to-speech capability for e-mail and text messaging, media feed updates, caller ID and more.
Supported profiles include A2DP for stereo audio as well as most other hands-free calling profile. Battery life is said to be four hours on a full charge, or 12 with charges from the dock. The headset pairs on its own and can support two Bluetooth devices at the same time.
The headset ships late in October at T-Mobile stores and Radio Shack in November. It will cost $100.
