Facebook followed up its Messenger iOS 5 update with a new version for BlackBerry. It shares the same extra-streamlined, chat-focused interface of its Android and iPhone peers with real-time messages, even in the background, and handles group chats with optional locations. The app can pull both the existing Facebook contact list as well as those from the regular BlackBerry contact list that have Facebook accounts.
The new port should keep up with the latest updates and show live typing updates, check which users are on mobile versus the desktop, and support the full suite of languages.
