Sony’s Columbia Pictures has moved the release date of director David Koepp’s Premium Rush back seven months from January 13, 2012 to August 24th, a date it has to itself right now.
Written by John Kamps and Keopp, Premium Rush stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Shannon, Dania Ramirez and Jamie Chung. You can watch the first trailer here.
This means Sony will have four films next summer, also including Men in Black 3, The Amazing Spider-Man and Total Recall.
The studio’s Here Comes the Boom, a comedy starring Kevin James and Salma Hayek, was also previously scheduled for a summer date on July 27 but will now open on October 12, 2012
