The Xperia ion introduced at CES has just got its first price tag, thanks to Negri Electronics. The third-party outfit is listing an unlocked device for just short of $570. The pre-order doesn’t include a shipping date, however.
The phone is said to be exclusive to AT&T and its 4G network, however, so taking the unlocked handset to providers such as T-Mobile will restrict it to that carrier’s EDGE network only. There is support for the 2,100MHz HSPA 3G band for some European carriers.
The ion promises to be the first Xperia to get a dual-core processor and its highlight features include a 4.55-inch touchscreen, 16GB of internal memory, and a 12-megapixel camera with Sony’s latest Exmor R sensor
