Vimeo has released a major update of its iOS app, bringing it up to v2.0. The main addition is a native iPad interface, which offers the unique advantage of being able to watch a clip while simultaneously browsing through others; users can switch to a fullscreen mode when needed. The app’s original iPhone interface has meanwhile been simplified.
Users now also have mobile access to their Likes, Subscriptions, and Watch Later content, and can fetch music from the Vimeo Music Store via the app’s video editor. When viewing videos a person can add comments, share via Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, WordPress, or email, and see details like credits, licenses, and likes.
The app is a free download for any device running iOS 4.3 or later.
