A Kid Icarus: Uprising national multiplayer tournament has been announced for the US! This bracket style tournament will be held as select GameStop stores around the country during the month of March. Three winners from each location will go on to compete in the finals in New York City. Prizes will consist of a trip to New York City for the finals as well as exclusive Kid Icarus items. Dates for each of the qualifiers and the finals can be seen below.
Qualifiers
- San Francisco, CA – March 8th
- Orlando, FL – March 11th
- Los Angeles – March 15th
- New York – March 22nd
Finals
New York – March 22nd (GameStop at Broadway and 84th Street)
Nintendo didn’t specifically mention if the tournament will be 3 vs. 3 (a major multiplayer mode in Kid Icarus: Uprising) or the newly announced Free For All Mode. However seeing how there will be three winners for each region leads me to believe that the tournament will be 3 vs. 3.
