Archos began rolling out Android 4.0 upgrades to its 80 G9 and 101 G9 tablet customers. This week, the company has begun shipping the premium turbo version of the 8-inch model with Android ICS pre-loaded. The company has indicated on its storefront that the 10.1-inch turbo model will begin shipping in April.
Athos began shipping the basic Athos 80 G9 in September. In October, it followed on with two turbo models, one with a 1.2GHz processor and a second turbo model with a higher performance 1.5GHz TI processor. It now appears that the company is dropping the entry model while beefing up the basic turbo version. The lowest price turbo model is now £200 ($314 USD) the same price for which it was selling the original entry level model. The 1.5GHz turbo version is now selling for £240 ($377 USD).
