Kodak Gallery, Kodak’s photo service addressing people’s mobile needs on the Android platform, announced that users of the Kodak Gallery app for Android can now share a single photo or entire album to a Pinterest board using the app. A new version of the Kodak Gallery app for Android phones and tablets, including a version for the Kindle Fire, was announced last month.
Being able to pin photos directly from the Kodak Gallery mobile app, addresses a basic issue for Pinterest users with Android devices. Now they can post pictures they take with their mobile phone directly to Pinterest. According to a recent survey, 28 percent of Kodak Gallery users say they have joined Pinterest, and a rapidly increasing number of people are using the Kodak Gallery mobile app to upload, view and share their photos.
“A growing number of Kodak Gallery members are using Pinterest, and they want to be able to pin personal pictures of what they love–whether it’s a craft project, a trip or a favorite recipe,” said Mark Cook, Vice President of Social and Mobile Products. “Since there is no Android app for Pinterest, we felt we could simply solve a problem for Android Pinterest users, whether you are a Kodak Gallery member or not, this is the easiest way to pin your pictures from an Android device.”
The Kodak Gallery app for Android is available for free in Google Play (formerly Android Market) and the Amazon Appstore.
