Nintendo on Wednesday began giving 3DS owners a promised set of 3D music videos. Anyone who has the Nintendo Video app will start automatically pulling a set of videos that take advantage of the glasses-free display, such as “The Rifle’s Spiral” by The Shins. B.O.B. and Wale have videos in the app today, while Skrillex and OK Go are among those in the near-term queue.
Videos have been premiering in the past, such as from Foster the People, but they typically haven’t been automatically delivered to 3DS owners. Nintendo Video has stopped short of full rentals or sales and has kept to free content that has also included comedy shorts and independent projects.
