Deadline is reporting that Brad Pitt and Javier Bardem are in talks to join Michael Fassbender in director Ridley Scott’s next film, The Counselor. Angelina Jolie was recently rumored to be eyeing a role in the film as well.
Cormac McCarthy, known for the novels-turned-films “All the Pretty Horses,” “No Country for Old Men” and “The Road,” wrote The Counselor specifically for the screen. It tells of a present-day Southwest lawyer who gets in over his head in the drug trade.
The site says that Twentieth Century Fox is negotiating to distribute the movie, which is scheduled to start filming in late June.
