Blizzard’s long-awaited action role-playing game Diablo III is now live, although it might be tough for eager players to join the action.
According to a post on the game’s official Facebook page, Blizzard warns players may have trouble logging in and creating characters due to high traffic.
“We’ve temporarily taken our Battle.net websites offline and launched more servers to accomodate for the traffic,” reads the post. “We hope to resolve these issues as soon as possible and appreciate your patience.”
The number of people itching to play Diablo III should come as little surprise. Blizzard netted a record 2 million pre-orders for the game ahead of launch.
Major Bug
Per a thread on the European Battle.net forum — the game may have a significant bug involving the Demon Hunter class. The report says when players trade their shield with a Templar found early in the game, they are booted out and unable to return.
