There will not be one, but two special editions of first-person shooter Borderlands 2 to choose from.
Publisher 2K announced details of a pair of collector’s editions of the game, launching on September 18 for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The Deluxe Vault Hunter’s Collector’s Edition includes a Marcus Kincaid bobblehead, digital comic, a hardbound art book, map of Pandora and extra downloadable content. It will sell for $99.99.
There’s also an Ultimate Loot Chest Limited Edition, highlighted by a collectible replica of the red chests players discover in the game. Among some of the other items: a steel case, lithograph postcard set and a creatures of Pandora ID chart. It will go for $149.99.
Players who pre-order the game will gain access to several perks, including a gun pack and a fifth character class called the Mechromancer. The class will be available to all players for purchase at a later date.
Borderlands 2 follows four new treasure hunters as they try to save the planet Pandora from the Hyperion Corporation and its CEO, Handsome Jack.
