Eurocom is now shipping its small form factor Monster notebook. Despite having an 11.6-inch screen, the Monster is aimed at mobile professionals, and to a lesser extent gamers, through the inclusion of high-end options such as an Ivy Bridge-level Intel Core i7-3920XM processor overclockable to 3.8GHz. Other customization choices include going up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM, 1TB of standard hard disk storage, 750GB of hybrid storage, or a 600GB SSD.
The 11.6-inch screen may be relatively small for entertainment purposes, but supports resolutions up to 1366×768, and has other bonuses such as HDMI, glossy and matte options, and professional calibration for $49 extra. Graphics processing is handled by a 2GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M. Among other features are USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 connections, VGA-out, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a Gigabit Ethernet connection.
The base cost of a Eurocom Monster is $825, but choosing high-end components can bring it closer to $3,800.
