Evernote will soon see an update to version 5 for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. Theupdate will focus on making using the app much faster in every area, with note creation, browsing, and organization all possible within one or two taps. To gain this new speed a redesign of the app’s UI was need which places emphasis on notes, notebooks, tags, and places.
The update also adds a Recent Notes list, much like the one seen in the Evernote 5 for Mac beta. Evernote has also added Quick Note buttons, allowing users to create new notes in a more efficient manner. Additionally, the new version features a map mode allowing users to organize and view notes according to where they were composed.
