Samsung has won 27 CES Innovation Awards for a number of products, bringing the total number of awards won to 117 over the last four years. While such products as the Galaxy S III, Note 10.1 and the TecTiles NFC sticker system received recognition, a number of HDTVs set to be shown at CES 2013 also received the award.
The company’s 85-inch UHD TV, with its 4K resolution and claimed to be the “world’s largest commercialized UHD LED TV,” received the accolade, alongside the 2013 Smart LED TV 7500 and 8000 series ranges, and Samsung’s OLED TV. The Smart TV Camera, supporting gesture control and face recognition when attached to Smart TVs without built-in cameras also received the award, which was spread across 29 different categories.
Samsung will be showing off its 85-inch UHD TV along with other honored products and the rest of its 2013 product catalog at CES in January. It is also reportedly revamping its brand at the same time, with the traditional blue logo replaced by something “more vibrant.”
