C Spire today announced that it will soon offer its own shared data plans for customers wishing to spread data access to multiple devices on a single account.
The basic plan starts at $50 per month and includes unlimited voice and messaging and 1GB of data. Adding a USB modem, tablet, or other connected device will cost $20 more per month, adding a feature phone will cost $30 more per month, and adding a smartphone will cost $40 per month.
So, two smartphones with a shared data plan would cost a total of $90 per month and include 1GB of data. C Spire is offering a range of data allotments that range up to 70GB for $600 per month. C Spire will alert customers before they surpass their monthly data allotment and offer the ability to top up their account so they aren’t charged overage fees. The top up passes start at $10 for 500 MB and range upward.
The new shared data plans will be available beginning December 3. C Spire operates its own CDMA and LTE networks in its home region of Mississippi, and has a roaming agreement with Sprint for access across the rest of the country.
