Nokia has reportedly started to roll out Windows Phone 7.8 to some of its handsets. At the same time as the mobile operating system upgrade to some of the company’s handsets, Nokia has also launched the Lumia 505 in Mexico, and the Lumia 510 in India, both of which will launch with Windows Phone 7.8 out of the box.
The Windows Phone 7.5 upgrade to 7.8 is said to be available for handsets including the Lumia 510 and Lumia 900 in some markets, and comes just days after the firmware update was seen on Nokia’s servers awaiting deployment. The update, which will give a similar splash screen to that of Windows Phone 8 and also have the Xbox tile, will consist of a smaller “Nokia update” followed by a number of larger downloads, according to WP7.nl.
