While NBC is not moving forward with The Farm, The Office spinoff with Dwight Schrute in the lead. The Peacok network still plans on air mostly-as-planned pilot during The Office’s final season. This is per TVLine story with The Office developer Greg Daniels.
Some changes have reportedly been made and with The Farm not going forward, the fate of Dwight and a certain other Office character may have changed.
Greg even said, “We’re going to shoot a little additional material to make it fit into the season more.”
The episode will air at some point before the series finale next year. It also sounds like, without The Farm, Dwight and Angela’s fate may have a happier ending than what might have played out if Dwight was set to be featured in his own comedy.
