Rockstar Games announced Thursday that “Grand Theft Auto: Vice City” will be released as a downloadable title to the Playstation 3 next week.
“Grand Theft Auto: Vice City” will be released on Tuesday, Jan. 29 under the Playstation 2 Classics label when the Playstation Store is updated in North America. Europeans can expect to see it ready to purchase the following day, Wednesday, Jan. 30. Just like previous, “Grand Theft Auto” re-releases on PSN, “Vice City” will cost $9.99.
“Grand Theft Auto: Vice City was originally released to the Playstation 2 in 2002 and follows mobster Tommy Vercetti as he makes the move from Liberty City to Vice City, which is based on Miami, Florida.
“Vice City” is already available to download on iOS and Android devices. Rockstar says it plans more “Grand Theft Auto” re-releases in the near future. GTA III, “San Andreas”, and GTA IV already been released to PSN which leaves the original “Grand Theft Auto” and “Grand Theft Auto II”.
